<video:title><![CDATA[CPR in Action | A 3D look inside the body]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[This 3D animation was designed to share life-saving information with the general public to demonstrate the importance of good, effective CPR!

Effective compressions create an artificial pump and send oxygenated blood to the brain to keep the brain alive. CPR also keeps blood and oxygen moving through the heart muscle itself so that it has the best chance of being successfully defibrillated when the AED arrives.

After a Sudden Cardiac Arrest, brain damage will start to set in within 4 minutes and is irreversible after 10 minutes. CPR is the person’s only chance of survival while waiting for an automated external defibrillator to arrive.

Action First Aid is committed to widespread access, awareness and public education about when and how to use an AED and perform effective CPR. Please share this video with all of your loved ones and friends as together we truly have the power to save more lives! Learn more at https://www.actionfirstaid.ca/

<video:title><![CDATA[How To Perform CPR On Your Dog | Pet Health Advice]]></video:title>
<video:description><![CDATA[See our full guide on how to perform CPR on a dog: http://pdsa.me/ykwf

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is a technique that can be used if a dog’s heart stops beating. It involves compressing the chest to keep blood pumping around the body and giving breaths to keep oxygen in the lungs.

It’s important to know that CPR is not appropriate for every collapsed dog, so it’s vitally important to check whether it’s the right thing to do before starting. Never perform CPR on a healthy dog, or a dog whose heart is still beating (even if they are unconscious), as it could seriously hurt or even kill them.

PDSA Vet Nurse Nina shows how to perform CPR on a dog.

For other ways to look after your pet, especially during this worrying time, we've put together a playlist of videos sharing lots of ways you can take care of them at home: http://pdsa.me/eH95
